Some of the faces in this short were a little sub-exposed (they needed some fill), the dop told me that he wanted to save the highlights so he used a flat profile to compress the dynamic range, still some shots have a little gray in the skins (that's consequence of the 4:2:0 chroma sub-sampling of the canon 5d markii camera.)
Final output,the director wanted the images not to be so contrasted, and the whole grade to be more cold.
